Giving Circle


Many travelers want to donate money and time to the places they've visited. Giving back is a core value of Global Sojourns.

While donations can positively impact a community, they can also cause harm. Understanding the social and cultural dynamics of the area you are visiting and taking guidance from specialists can help you give back in a way that is appropriate and beneficial.

Global Sojourns is happy to assist clients who are looking to donate time or funds to a specific area by vetting appropriate community-based and international development organizations.

One of the best ways you can give back is by sharing with others what you have learned about the places and people you have visited. You can do this in many ways, including:
  • Making a photo album and setting it out to share in your home or office.
  • Making a presentation of photos for friends, family, and community groups.
  • Writing an article about your trip and what you learned for your local paper.

Global Sojourns Giving Circle

Another way to give back is through our Giving Circle. A giving circle is a group of people who pool their donations and work together to make international grants.

Global Sojourns is now sponsoring a giving circle that will support projects in sub-Saharan Africa. Our small community of donors combine contributions to support well-vetted, grassroots programs. Together, we learn more about the issues we’re going to address, and we witness the concrete difference our donations make.
